Please note that because most bookings are now made electronically, and deposits are no longer taken in cash, the Booking Office will no longer be open for in-person bookings. Appointments to view the premises may be made with the booking clerk, by email or telephone. It is also possible to make booking requests through the booking enquiries page on this website. Please note that cash deposits are no longer accepted, so all deposits must now be paid either by bank transfer or credit or debit card payments for deposits (bank transfer is preferred, as we have to pay a fee for card transactions).
Please note that NO dogs (other than assistance dogs), are permitted in the Village Hall.
Shifnal Village Hall is centrally positioned in the Market Town of Shifnal, in Shropshire, to the east of Telford. It is a registered charity (registered Charity No. 505365) and is administered by a volunteer Management Committee which meets every 2 months. A well used community venue, it has adjacent free parking. There is a Main Hall with a fixed or movable stage, stage lighting and a hearing loop system, which can accommodate up to 200 people, as well as two smaller meeting rooms. All rooms are available to hire at competitive prices.
The Hall has a comprehensively fitted kitchen and bar facility, which can to be used for both commercial and private functions, and has pleasant gardens suitable for bookings for weddings. There are regular dance classes, craft fairs, stamp fairs and antique fairs etc. The building is approved for disabled use, with disabled toilets, good wheelchair access and designated disabled parking. Baby changing facilities are also available. The Hall is fully licensed for live and recorded music, plays, dancing (including dance performance) and the sale of alcohol.
